“Fatto a Mano” is a capsule limited edition of knitwear entirely produced with old hand looms. Sweaters in fine yarns such as cashmere, baby alpaca and silk, made in short runs, numbered and delivered with a special packaging.
THE HAND LOOM
Each “Handmade” knitted item is born from the union of CIVIDINI creativity, the know-how of the craftswoman and the uniqueness of the process obtained by the hand loom. The knitwear of this limited collection is made completely without seams and according to type of stitch and yarn, the craftswoman employs three to four hours to complete a sweater while in the industrial process, the time is reduced of the 80%.
THE PRECIOUS YARNS
CASHMERE
The most valuable natural fiber and the most loved because of its characteristic to make the garments light, soft and at the same time pleasantly warm. It’s so precious that to make one sweater is needed the annual shearing of three to four Hyrcus Tibetan goats.
BABY ALPACA
Baby Alpaca wool, precious hypoallergenic fiber, fine and brilliant, is obtained by spinning the fleece of the littlest Suri alpaca of the Andes, an extremely rare species that can give birth to only one puppy per year.
SETA
Precious natural fiber loved for its qualities of lightness, softness and high gloss, is used since 3000 BC to dress Chinese emperors becoming over the centuries a symbol of exclusivity.
